Application for Scholarship

AFST(I) Education and Publication Trust Scholarship 

Application Submission through Online only

  1. The AFST(I) Education and Publication Trust Scholarship supports students in the final year (2025–26) of a regular postgraduate program in the area of Food Science / Technology / Food Engineering / Nutrition from any recognized University in India. The scholarship is designed to encourage academic excellence among emerging professionals in the field. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in a full-time PG course in a recognized Indian institution.
  2. Applicants must fill out Form-H (Application Form) and Form-G (Self-Evaluation Score Sheet) & General Nomination Format directly through the online application portal available under the ‘Awards’ section on the official web portal link available in: https://www.afsti.org/awards
  3. A minimum of two scholarships will be awarded in each geographical zone of the country, making a total of at least 12 scholarships, annually. The list of zones and their respective states is provided below for reference.
  4. Each institute or organization is allowed to forward a maximum of two applications only. If an institute submits more than two applications, all applications from that institute will be disqualified and rejected. Applicants and institutions should adhere strictly to this rule to avoid disqualification.

Nominations / Applications for AFST(I) Education and Publication Trust Scholarship

  1. All required supporting documents (such as academic records, certificates, etc.) must be duly certified by the Head or Principal of the Institution, confirming that the applicant is a Bonafide student and that the information provided is accurate. The certified documents must be clearly scanned in PDF format and uploaded to the online portal as part of the application submission process
  2. The application should be made on the portal specifically available for the purpose of applying to AFST(I) awards.
  3. It is advisable that the applicants keep every document ready before submitting applications online so that undue delay or glitches can be avoided. Submit your application on or before the specified deadline; late submissions or incomplete applications will not be accepted and may lead to disqualification

Conferring the AFST(I) Education and Publication Trust Scholarship

  1. Once recommended for the scholarship, the selected applicant will be conferred with a certificate at the time of the forthcoming AGBM or at any other suitable function of the Association, as decided by the CEC.
  2. The Association may invite the awardees, to the AGBM or any other function/events arranged by the AFST(I).

Privilege of AFST(I) Education and Publication Trust Scholarship

  1. Recipients gain financial support to aid in completing their postgraduate studies in Food Science or Technology.
  2. Gratis registration to the conference / symposia where award function is scheduled
  3. To be nominated to any student related committee of AFST(I) by the CEC
